The Counter-Intelligence Movement

An aggrieved populace lives for lies.
They believe in their own entitlement.

This whole healthcare thing is a real problem
Says my neighbor
In his slippers
From the other side of the fence.

He intimates he doesn’t like the new president
Or the proliferation of debt we’re incurring

But in the same breath,
He complains about his own social security,
They’re not giving a cost of living increase this year
They’re going to cut my Medicare

Where’s your compassion for the poor
Don’t they deserve access to more
We’re all poor, Christ, can’t you see
Taxing the rich doesn’t apply to you and me.

I see the giant cross you’ve got hanging
Does it have no real meaning.
